Class Information
Our classes are based on age and ability, offering you the best possible class placement. Please contact us for guidance on the correct level for your success.
To feel like a dancer your must look like a dancer. Students are expected to be in the appropriate attire and have the correct shoes for class.
You can start classes as soon as your registration is completed. Registration can be done online prior to your first class.
Dance 101 offers adult classes in various styles and levels.
Dance 101 takes students as soon as they can walk in our Parent/Child program.
Due to the limitation on class sizes drop-in and make up classes will not be available. Students are expected to attend their registered class regularly. Switching classes without teacher approval and withdrawals are highly discouraged. This can disrupt the learning process for all the students in a class.
Class sizes must always meet a minimum of 6 registered students in order for it to be held. We will take up to 20 students with 2 instructors.
Dance 101 runs like a school year offering a 40 class season between August and May. We also offer a shorter summer session in June and July.
Please check schedule page for studio breaks and closures. Schedules are based on the current calendar year and are subject to change.
Please bring students to class on time and pick them up promptly. You must supervise your children in the waiting area at all times. Parents are welcome to leave the studio while their child is in class.
Only registered students are allowed in the studio during instruction.
Performances
Our Annual Recital, held the first week of June, will be performed at the Mesa Arts Center. Students in our Bright Stars level and older are eligible to participate. The 2026 Recital will be June 3, 4 and 6 at 6:30pm.
Recitals are optional, but highly encouraged.
Dance 101 is a recreational dance studio. We offer equal performance opportunities for all students ages 3 and older.
Discounts
Dance 101 offers a 10% discount off tuition if two or more immediate family members are registered for classes at Dance 101 on the same billing account.
Dance 101 offers 25% off your second class and 50% off the third (or more) classes. Offer is valid per student only.
Dance 101 offers a $10 family referral credit to be applied towards your tuition. Your referral must note your name in their registration form. Referrals are offered per family.
We offer a 10% discount for advance payments of 3 months of tuition or more. Pre-payments are non-refundable.
Studio Policy
Tuition is non-refundable for missed classes. Your monthly tuition guarantees your spot in class.
Due to the limitation on class sizes drop-in and make up classes will not be available. Students are expected to attend their registered class regularly and in the appropriate dress.
If a student decides to withdraw from a class a 30-day prior written notice must be provided on a withdrawal form available here:
If a 30-day prior written notice is not provided, the account will continue to be due and payable.
Tuition will be adjusted for the next month’s payment. No refund will be given for withdrawn classes. In the event of a withdrawal prior to the completion of the season, tuition will be recalculated based upon the number of classes scheduled from the time of enrollment to the time of withdrawal and additional tuition may be then due and payable to the Studio.
At Dance 101 we want to make sure that everyone is provided with a safe and enriched learning environment and experience. Please go over these guidelines and expectations with anyone who will be visiting our studio prior to class.
Billing
Tuition varies based on the length of the class. Please see the individual class for prices.
Dance 101 does not charge a registration fee for classes.
Tuition will be charged to your debit or credit card on the 26th of every month (July-April). Tuition payments begin July 26th for August tuition. Summer tuition will be billed on May 26th. T
Payments will be made by a pre-authorized automatic monthly payment plan to the debit or credit card on your account. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
For your convenience, tuition for a full season (40 classes) is divided into 10 equal monthly tuition payments, payable monthly from July-April. Summer tuition is per session.
If you are starting mid-month your tuition will be prorated based on the number of classes you will be attending for that month’s tuition.

Each class meets 40 times from August through May. Our tuition is divided into 10 equal payments paid monthly. Some months have 5 classes in it and others have less due to holiday closures, but each month’s tuition pays for 4 classes total. Summer tuition is based on total classes per session. If payment is not received by the 5th of the month a late fee of $15 will be assessed. If any payment is rejected due to insufficient funds there will be a $25 NSF charge that will automatically be charged to the account on file.
Dance 101 reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. In the event that a class is canceled either a make up lesson will be scheduled or a credit will be applied to your account at the discretion of Dance 101. No make-ups can be made for a missed class that has been credited. Dance 101 reserves the right to provide online classes instead of in-person classes, which may be necessary due to a pandemic or other disruptions to in-person operations.
