Until further notice, Dance 101 plans to enforce the following safety precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19:
- Everyone must remain six feet apart at all times. As a result, class sizes will be reduced. Also, the amount of people allowed to be in the lobby will be limited. However, physical distancing may not always be possible, and someone may inadvertently come within six feet.
- There will be regular cleaning and sanitation. The studio, including props and mats, will be disinfected between each in-person class.
- Only 1 parent or guardian may pick up and drop off.
- Anyone experiencing any fever, cough, repeated sneezing, or other flu-like symptoms is not permitted on premises.
- Everyone must wash or sanitize their hands prior to entering and leaving the studio. We have set up additional hand-sanitizing stations.
- The drinking fountains and community dresser will be closed. Please bring your own water bottle and shoes.
- The Lost and Found will be closed. Please call if you’ve left an item behind.
- There will be designated spots for each child at the barre and at pick up/drop off.
- Masks are optional for students and instructors.
Our classes are based on age and ability, offering you the best possible class placement. Please contact us for guidance on the correct level for your success.
To feel like a dancer your must look like a dancer. Students are expected to be in the appropriate attire and have the correct shoes for class.
You can start classes as soon as your registration is completed and your Credit Card Authorization form is filled out. Registration is done online prior to your first class and a CCA form will be filled out in person on the day of your first class.
Dance 101 offers adult classes in various styles and levels.
Dance 101 takes students as soon as they can walk in our Parent/Child program.
Make-up lessons will not be available in June 2020.
In our regularly schedule seasons: Students are expected to attend their registered class regularly. Make-ups can be made in a class of similar curriculum only by the student who was absent for the class. Missed classes must be made up within four weeks after the absence and within the same season of enrollment. Make-ups, switching classes and withdrawals after January 31, 2020 are highly discouraged. This can disrupt the learning process for all the students in a class. Specialty classes such as camps and parents night out are exempt from make ups.
Make-up lessons will not be available in June 2020.
In our regularly scheduled season: Should a student need to attend a make-up class, please schedule with us via email or a phone call.
Class sizes will be limited to allow a max of 10 individuals per studio, including the instructor.
In our regularly scheduled season: Class sizes must always meet a minimum of 6 registered students in order for it to be held. We will take up to 14-20 students with 2 instructors.

Please bring students to class on time and pick them up promptly. You must supervise your children in the waiting area at all times. Parents are welcome to leave the studio while their child is in class.
Dance 101 has two optional performances. We participate in the Tempe Fantasy of Lights Parade which falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving each year. Dancers ages 3-5 years old ride the float while dancers ages 6+ learn a routine and dance in front of the float.

In our regular season:
The second performance is our Annual Recital, held the first week of June at the Mesa Arts Center. Students in our Bright Stars level and older are able to participate. Both of these performances are optional but highly encouraged.

If a student decides to withdraw from a class a 30-day prior written notice must be provided on a withdrawal form available here:
If a 30-day prior written notice is not provided, the account will continue to be due and payable.
Tuition will be adjusted for the next month’s payment. No refund will be given for withdrawn classes. In the event of a withdrawal prior to the completion of the season, tuition will be recalculated based upon the number of classes scheduled from the time of enrollment to the time of withdrawal and additional tuition may be then due and payable to the Studio.
Tuition varies based on the length of the class. Please see the individual class for prices.
Dance 101 does not charge a registration fee for classes.
Tuition will be charged to your debit or credit card on the 26th of every month (July-April). Tuition payments begin July 26th for August tuition.
Payments will be made by a pre-authorized automatic monthly payment plan to the debit or credit card on your account. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
For your convenience, tuition for a full season (40 classes) is divided into 10 equal monthly tuition payments, payable monthly from July-April.
If you are starting mid-month your tuition will be prorated based on the number of classes you will be attending for that month’s tuition.
Drop in rates are available only for adult classes. The cost is $18 per class. You must be registered as a student to do a drop in class.
Each class meets 40 times from August through May. Our tuition is divided into 10 equal payments paid monthly.
